The mission of the Wynkoop Center for Women in Ministry is to equip, empower and encourage women called by God to serve in and through the church of Jesus Christ.

  • We equip women by helping them recognize and nurture the spiritual gifts endowed by God and prepare the church to receive their ministry through educational initiatives.
  • We empower women to be confident representatives of Jesus Christ and seek to clear the systemic roadblocks they sometimes encounter.
  • We encourage women in ministry by providing opportunities for interaction with effective women leaders in the church.

The Wynkoop Center web site consists of six primary sections: Blog, News, Bible Studies, Academic Resources, Other Resources, and Mission.

  • The Blog provides short articles by women clergy on various ministry issues.  A new entry is posted each Monday.
  • The News area has links to news stories about women clergy.
  • Bible Studies provide full text for 21 studies in four units which are created primarily for use in local church and campus ministries.
  • Academic Resources are provided for anyone seeking a more intellectually rigorous treatment of the issues surrounding women in ministry.
  • The Other Resources section makes available a variety of materials to encourage further exploration of the subject of women in ministry.
  • Mission outlines the purpose of the Wynkoop Center, a brief history of its founding, and provides brief biographies of both Mildred and Ralph Wynkoop.

All materials on the Wynkoop Center web site are available without cost to the user. We hope you find resources here that will help you serve the Lord Jesus Christ more fully.
